History

Established in 2002.

An anomaly to the signature architecture that denotes the historic Art Deco district of South Beach, Casa Tua is a unique Mediterranean revival property recognized and praised for its singular style. Originally built as a private residence in 1925 by architect Robert A. Taylor, the site had sadly been neglected for years and had become nothing more than a dilapidated apartment building when owner, Michele Grendene, and his wife, Leticia, acquired the building. With an unshakable vision and remarkable determination, Miky (as he is commonly known) was not only able to save the forlorn building from its state of disrepair - resuscitating its former life and restoring its former grandeur - but completely transformed the new boutique hotel and restaurant into something entirely magical and inviting.
