Jessica Koslow started Sqirl as a jam company in 2011. In 2012, Sqirl evolved into a breakfast and lunch cafe in the same vein as the jam company; sourcing produce from local farmers, focusing on sustainability and ecologically mindful methods of creative cooking.

Jessica Koslow worked as a pastry chef at the James Beard award winning, Bacchanalia in Atlanta, Georgia. Jessica has been awarded Eater LA's Chef of the Year, Star Chef's Rising Star, and recently published the Sqirl Cookbook, Everything I Want To Eat. Jessica was nominated for the prestigious James Beard Award for Best Chef: West, 2018.
