During the day we are a full service restaurant and by night we transform into a thriving late night destination featuring dancing, live music, and dj's seven nights a week. Sandbar has been named to the "Top 100" by Nightclub & Bar Magazine for the last 4 consecutive years. We are known for our fun-filled and wild bachelorette parties as well as our music and dancing. History

Established in 2006.

Originally 514 State Street was a car dealership and later became a series of successful bars/restaurants. Prior to our purchase of Sandbar, James and John Maxwell bought calypso and changed the name to Sandbar. We purchased it in August of 2006. In August of 2007 we put in a full Mexican menu. We've been very blessed with the success we've had since that time. We recently revised our menu to include items like fresh ceviche, home made tortillas and market fresh margaritas. Sandbar

I started off in the restaurant industry when I was 15 years old and have been going on 13 years.  I've been dedicated to the hospitality industry for almost all of my life, and plan on continuing! I was born on Maui and moved out to Santa Barbara in 2009. I take pride in our service and dedication to making Sandbar the most fun and friendliest spot in town!
