Meaning soul or spirit, Rooh brings the spirit of India to San Francisco through the restaurant experience. Renowned Executive Chef, Sujan Sarkar, delicately balances rich traditional flavors with fresh local ingredients prepared with modern techniques. The unique cocktail list features a list inspired by ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and the six tastes, or rasa, sweet, sour, salty, pungent, astringent and bitter. A vibrant dining destination Rooh showcases the innovation of urban India for locals and visitors alike.

ROOH is brought to you by Good Times Restaurants group - the Bhambri family, as well as world-renowned chef Sujan Sarkar who has cooked at top establishments across the globe. ROOH is their first United States location. The team is thrilled to bring progressive Indian cuisine and creative Ayurveda-inspired cocktails to San Francisco.

Anu Bhambri is the owner of ROOH. ROOH has received praises and accolades for it's authentic and modern interpretation of Indian cuisine. Her vision has been to change the perception of Indian food in America. After huge success of ROOH, the company also opened the first Indian Gastropub in NYC called Baar Baar. Both the restaurants are an ode to Powerful, Successful , Strong & Modern Women of 21st century. Prior to her foray into the hospitality industry, Anu spent 12+ years in Microsoft working on multiple successful products such as Bing, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint. She quit Microsoft in 2016 to pursue her passion for food and restaurant industry full time.
