Specializing in organic farro pasta , farro grain, risotto made from farro grain, we also feature fabulous seafood dishes (we are steps from the ocean, after all) with cioppino, pescatore, or cough of days like halibut, salmon, Dorado, Yelowtail, mussels, calamari, tiger shrimp, and much more . Other dishes include appetizer, salads, homemade soups, homemade pasta dishes, ravioli, tagliatelle, gluten free pasta, steak, veal, lamb, pizza, and chicken, enjoy with a specialty cocktail from our full bar, or a robust glass of wine. Il Farro Restaurant sits in the heart of the Newport Beach Peninsula, right by the Newport Pier. Its authentic European vibe has attracted a vast clientele of locals and tourists. Established in 1994 has made Il Farro one of the most unique and divine spots of Southern Italian specialties. Its cozy Italian atmosphere and its family-oriented service give our customers one of the best Italian experiences in Orange County.

Business Owner

Italian born Domenico Maurici found his way into the restaurant kitchen at an early age. Working at the coastal hotels and restaurants in Italy, Domenico found a passion for food and entertaining, prompting him to enter culinary school to perfect his craft. Having worked in France and London, Domenico decided it was time for a vacation. He traveled to gorgeous Newport Beach, CA and decided to stay. He opened Il Farro in 1994 and realized a lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant where he could share the dishes of his home region with Californians!  One Suggestion to our Patrons (in this new world of internet and media) I would love if before writing a bud review or comments to let us know at the same moment their experience at the table so we cloud fix and make them happy, before living our establishment.
