Toulouse is centered around the cuisine, décor, and imagery of the French Quarter and New Orleans. Our menu is expansive and ambitious, featuring traditional creole and French Quarter preparations, charcuterie, USDA prime steaks, fresh seafood, and one of the most extensive cold kitchen menus (garde manger) in the country. We believe we offer the greatest dining value found anywhere, which is then coupled with a richly textured decorative experience that was crafted with sincerity and conviction that we were making something of lasting and genuine value. We also serve a Happy Hour menu that we believe is simply the most compelling in the nation. It features more than fifty preparations and is served from 4 pm to 6 pm and from 10 pm to 11:30 pm.

History

Established in 2009.

Toulouse took more than a year to construct and required the commitment and energies of several singular and talented individuals. Each of the various elements and features that make up our unique and richly textured decorative environment involved multiple processes and steps that required a lengthy learning curve to develop and master. And which then also typically required several detailed, specific, and technical steps to execute properly, including the corrections made along the way . . . all of which really is not much different from the process of excellent food and cocktail preparation itself. The Toulouse concept itself was first conceived of in 2002 and has undergone extensive revision and development over the ensuing years. The name 'Toulouse' is taken from Toulouse Street in the French Quarter, which is where I worked at my first restaurant job that introduced me to new experiential possibilities of which I was previously unaware.
