History

Established in 1986.

The Herbfarm restaurant began on an herb farm in 1986. The farm itself pre-dated the restaurant by 11 years. From the beginning, The Herbfarm has grown a majority of the food it serves. After a fire in 1997, the restaurant was relocated to the scenic Woodinville Wine Country, where it farms 5 acres.

Business Owner

Ron Zimmerman grew up in Oregon and Washington, hiking, fishing, camping, and foraging for wild foods. After introducing Gore-Tex products to the world, he took over his parent's herb farm and started the restaurant. The restaurant is dedicated to being a true showcase for regional foods. It has consistently been ranked as the top restaurant in Oregon and Washington, being the only AAA 5-Diamond restaurant in the area and scoring 29 of 30 possible points with the national Zagat restaurant guides.
