History

Established in 1987.

Located inside the old world Sycamore Square building, The Black Cat offers a warm and welcoming charm, accented by exposed brick, over-sized windows and hardwood flooring. Come join us for classic dining mixed with all your new favorites. Our unique atmosphere has been an attraction to locals and visitors for decades. It is the perfect place to share an intimate cocktail, join a group for Happy Hour appetizers or to throw a party in our Cat's Alley! The Black Cat has been around since 1987. It took the place of La Creperie, which was closed down in 1983 after a fire and notorious drug bust. The area had been gutted, and the restaurant was restored with a French Cabaret theme, and named the new restaurant Le Chat Noir, The Black Cat. The restaurant currently has a strong following in Bellingham, with its laid back, non-pretentious atmosphere and great food.
