History

Established in 2008.

Smith opened in 2008 and has been serving up Capitol Hill comfort food since then. Once owned by the storied Linda Derschang, Christopher Forczyk and Marianne Ide bought Smith in July 2019 where they will continue Smith's excellent tradition of great food, cool vibe, and fabulous craft cocktails. Now in January 2023, is taking over by the Gonzalez family who have love & dedication for the restaurant industry & will improve and continue Smith tradition of great food & fabulous cocktails.

Victor Gonzalez move to Seattle Washington in 2001 and has been in the restaurant industry ever since & now that his kids graduated from the University of Washington he has decided to purchase a restaurant and work it together as a family! Victor & his family are blessed into finding smith as Christopher and Marianne, the former owners decided to start a new chapter!
