We are a French inspired Northwest Bistro...featuring a seasonal menu inspired by classic French ideas, using local Northwest product as much as possible. We have an outstanding, extended wine list and a full cocktail bar. We offer a kids and vegetarian menu as well.

History

Established in 2006.

Prima opened in June of 2006, in the space previously occupied by the Star Bistro which closed in February of 2005. Sieb and Jenn Jurriaans uprooted their family from Seattle for this great opportunity and haven't looked back since. Sieb had been cooking in Seattle for nearly 10 years - at Theoz, Cafe Campagne, Bis on Main, and as opening executive chef at Saltoro. Jenn had been a Seattle Public School teacher. The opportunity came as a complete surprise, but fulfilled a longtime dream to open a place together on Whidbey Island.
