Linda's Tavern was opened in 1993 with Jonathan Poneman and Bruce Pavitt (co-founders of Sub Pop). Over twenty years later, it remains a "nice place for nice people".

Linda Derschang is a restauranteur, designer, and staple of the Capitol Hill food and nightlife scene. She opened her first Seattle business (a clothing boutique called "Basic") in 1987, and currently owns three restaurants and bars on the Hill (Linda's Tavern, Oddfellows Cafe & Bar and Little Oddfellows Cafe) as well as King's Hardware in Ballard.
