Indochine's refined Thai cuisine is set in an exquisite Downtown setting. Customers are greeted by friendly faces and an aesthetically pleasing experience of soft lighting, warm cranberry and oak wood hues and a wide array of seating options that offers sleek built-ins beside the pond centerpiece, grand Opium Bed booths, and the intimacy of the draped Pavilion. The stylish ambiance is carried over into the bar where liquor specialists mix tantalizing house martinis and other drinks to accompany our full menu. The true treasure at Indochine is its menu which features wondrous dishes in generous portions: Curries adorned with stir-fried veggies, fragrant herbs and spices, beef, chicken, seafood or tofu; the classic Phad Thai, with noodles, bean sprouts and roasted peanuts in a tangy, sweet & sour sauce; and our always popular Fresh Spring Rolls. Indochine's cuisine is complemented by an extensive wine list that represents all the major wine varietals and growing regions.

History

Established in 2005.

Café Indochine was started by the Ngov family in 1995 as a beautifully decorated and very charming lunch & dinner spot serving the Federal Way community. This was the family's first foray into serving Thai Food & French Pastries, and they were very successful, expanding into a larger building next door in year 2000. That restaurant, Indochine Seafood & Satay Bar, is still operated by the family successfully in Federal Way at 31406 Pacific Hwy. The continuing development of Indochine with a restaurant in the heart of a redeveloping Downtown Tacoma was embraced by the Ngov family in 2003. Designing and constructing Indochine Asian Dining Lounge took two years opening in August 2005. The new restaurant features a Banquet Room, a Tatami Room, a large Pavilion Dining Table, a Thai House, and a Reflecting Pond central to the Dining Room.
