History

Established in 2009.

Eco Movers was born out of a desire to change old, harmful moving practices with a fresh environmentally-friendly approach. We’ve grown into Seattle’s premier sustainable moving company, and Google’s No. 1 mover in Washington state. Our thousands of pleased clients tell the story best, as a quarter of our business comes from return customers. Eco Movers opened its current headquarters in Queen Anne in 2016, including our first storage facility. The fleet of trucks grew, adding new certified clean-idle vehicles. The warehouse allows us to ramp up our earth-friendly practices. We offer reusable boxes for your convenience and to reduce cardboard use.

Hi! My name is Grant and I am the owner of Eco-Movers. I started Eco-Movers in 2009 with one objective in mind:  to give our customers a wonderful moving experience while reducing the inevitable stress that goes hand in hand when you are moving. Not only do we strive to provide our customers with the best in customer service, but we are also dedicated to promoting reduction and reuse from the waste created in the moving industry. Having studied Ecology and Conservation at the University of Washington, local sustainability is a great concern to me and our company.
