Weinberger's Deli is unique! We are not your typical sandwich eatery. We mix old school sandwiches with a contemporary flare. Some sandwiches are our own creation, others we just put our own spin to it, and some are just like, you like to remember them to be. With over a hundred different types of sandwiches to choose from, eating here breakfast, lunch, and dinner you can never get bored. We'd like to help you with your favorite sandwich. Whether you are East coast, West coast, international, if we can find it on the internet and have the equipment and product to make it, we will be happy to re-create your favorite sandwich. Just ask. Our guarantee to you is that if you do not like one of our sandwiches bring it up and we will replace it with something you will like. So give us a try and see how we do.

History

Established in 1952.

Our sandwich shop has evolved over the years since it was founded in Chicago back in 1952. We were fortunate enough to have a large enough following to have opened five stores that lasted in the Chicago market for over 50 years. Our oldest sandwich recipe dates to 1914. In 1950 my father was given the opportunity to learn the deli business from a gentleman that had a very popular deli on the South side of Chicago. By 1952 my Dad opened his first of 5 delis on his own in Homewood, Illinois, (the year I was born.) I grew up learning the sandwich business from him. Today, 64 years later we are still making the classic deli sandwiches my father made way back then, with a few hundred more. We have brought deli sandwich making to a new level, from the classic Chicago Italian Beef, to the tasty New York Reuben,to the Miami Cuban, with many, many more of our own creations. No taste will go unsatisfied at our deli. If you can dream it we can make it. We haven't been stumped yet!

Dan W. I literally grew up at my father's apron strings learning the deli business. Working in all of his stores on and off from the age of 5, I learned all you could learn about the deli business - sandwiches in particular. I've been called the 'Bubba Gump of Sandwiches.' After going to cooking school I became a sandwich consultant and taught people how to open their own delis. After extensive travel throughout the United States, I settled in Grapevine, Texas and opened my own shop in 2002. In 2008 Yahoo listed us as one of the top 3 deli sandwich shops in the country based on positive reviews, In 2015 we were listed in 'The Best 12 Sandwich shops of Texas'. Today my staff and I continue to bring the old style deli sandwiches and new world flavors together to make the finest sandwiches ever created.
