Just North of Downtown on The N. St. Mary's Strip, unique local flavor like our best selling Fried Avocado Burger. Try the Applewood Smoked Bacon Balsamic Blue Burger & The Candied Bacon Feta Cranberry Burger, these two were featured on TV Show Texas Bucket List and the Fried Apple Blue Cheese Bacon Burger and Creme Brulee, were featured on The Food Network Show 'Burgers Brew & Que.' Enjoy a Hand-dipped Blue Bell ice-cream milkshake in the al fresco shade of our Beautiful Beer Garden outdoor patio. We serve many other house specialties, Tropical Mango or Southwest Fish Tacos, House Marinated Fried Pickles , fried Mushrooms, sweet potato fries, sandwiches, paninis, Soups & Signature Salads. Guacamole and all dressings & sauces are made from scratch. Bring the whole gang to our Family Friendly Restaurant in the cool patio boasting 30 fans and misters. 27 craft and draft beers plus 50 foot full service bar serving boozy shakes and cocktails. Our scratch made frozen margaritas were featured in The Wall Street Journal. Breakfast is served on the weekends. It includes Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Sweet Potato Pancakes, Belgian Waffles and Tuaca Brandy Liquor Cinnamon French toast to name a few. Tycoon Flats is a mainstay on the St. N. Mary's Strip. Since 1983 this converted Historic Gas Station has been rocking along making new friends everyday. We have operated as an Iconic Burger Joint / Beer Garden and full bar serving craft beer from local brewers on tap and of course...fantastic Frozen Margaritas! In October 2008, Tycoon Flats received significant renovations saving the Original Spirit with many Modern Standards. The menu was expanded adding great hot sandwiches, signature salads and our Famous Fried Pickles among others. In 2014 Flats began Breakfast and Brunch on Weekends till 12pm. Belgian Waffles, Eggs Benedict, Sweet Potato Pancakes, and Omelettes. Our team prides itself on food appeal by handcrafting from scratch, all our sauces/dressings, soups, as well as hand-cutting fresh fruits & vegetables daily for all our menu items. Real food from real people is our main focus. So come to The Flats, have fun and eat great.

Richard and I are brothers and 6th generation Texans. We have lived in San Antonio for most of our lives and absolutely love this town.  Our original Texas roots come from the small town of Gonzales of "Come and Take It" fame!  We have 47 years of restaurant experience behind us. Richard even met his wife Kim while working together in a restaurant.  We are truly blessed to be able to compliment each other so well in this business and we love it very much.  Thank you San Antonio for all that your wonderful people and visitors have done for our family and for the iconic 'Tycoon Flats Restaurant.'Please know that we read ALL reviews, the positives give us our continued drive/purpose and the criticism gives us a chance to improve.
