About the Business

Specialties

We are a family style breakfast and lunch restaurant that provides our Guests with an exceptional dining experience from our delicious food to our friendly service team. Menu items that are made to order from scratch, premium and locally sourced ingredients, seasonal specials and freshly squeezed juice with no added sugar are just a few things that set us apart. Try our classics or something different like our Signature Apple Pancake or Dutch Baby. No matter what you choose you will not be disappointed!

History

Established in 1992.

Founded in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, the Original Pancake House welcomed our first guests in Portland, Oregon. Based on a tradition of great food prepared with the highest-quality ingredients, our restaurants have been serving made-from-scratch goodness for more than 60 years. You are sure to take a pleasant walk down memory lane when you try our unique baked French-rolled omelettes, mouthwatering apple pancake, one-of-a-kind Dutch Baby, our famous thick-cut bacon and signature coffee, and our orange and grapefruit juices that are freshly squeezed each morning. Our story has fostered our commitment to helping you escape back to a time when life was less busy and your grandmother's cooking brought the whole family together. Drawing upon their many years in the culinary field and comprehensive working knowledge of authentic national and ethnic pancake recipes, our founders created this unique and appealing menu that has earned national acclaim.
