The Big Texan Steak Ranch open it's doors for business in 1960 on Route 66. RJ(Bob) Lee along side his wife Mary Ann & their children worked to establish the Big Texan as one of the most World Famous -Route 66, roadhouse eateries as well as a true Texas attraction. Perhaps the biggest "star" of the Big Texans magic is the 72oz Steak Challenge- FREE to anyone who can devour the entire meal in one hour.This gastronomical contest was the first of it's kind & has started a world-wide phenomenon of eating contest & popular television programs. Bobby & Danny Lee are the two oldest sons of  Big Texan Steak Ranch founder RJ(Bob)Lee. Both work side by side with their father to establish the Big Texan as a World Famous icon.Developed & groomed at an early age,the two brothers knew that the responsibilities of the Big Texan would be one day be theirs. After college & continued culinary/business exposer,both brothers became leaders in their fields.The passing of their father in 1990,brought the brothers back to the Big Texan & the launching of a powerful business plan to ensure that this legendary landmark would become even bigger.The plan highlighted the two brothers field of expertise;Danny=Internal Marketing(food & service)-Bobby=External Marketing(promotion & advertising).Since then, their restaurant has seen a 212% sales increase & 179% rise in guest counts.            Both brothers agree that customer satisfaction will always be the most important part of operations & hearing those magical words "we will be back"
