History

Established in 2003.

Since 2003, the restaurant was owned by Mr. & Mrs. Thepkaysone. Early in 2018, they decided to retire. Wanting to retain the service, freshness and quality our customers keep returning for, they sold the restaurant to Nicki Khamfongnoy (a long time employee) along with partners Kawita & Tim King. In April 2018, as co-owners, Nicki became the Restaurant Manager, Kawita became the Kitchen Manager. All of this restaurant expertise, with careful attention to the traditional Thai recipes, have made the transition a success, not compromising the quality, freshness, flavor and value. Kawita and Nicki, and their staff look forward to continuing to provide food that pleases our customers in a relaxing, comfortable, friendly environment day after day.

As co-owners and co-managers, Nicki and Kawita bring many years of experience to Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine. After the previous owners Mr. & Mrs. Thepkaysone, retired, long-time employee Nicki (Restaurant Manager) partnered with Kawita (Kitchen Manager) to carry on the Thai traditions of our menu here in Hurst, TX and buy the business. As owners and managers they are committed to "true customer happiness" in the dining experience.
