Rivas Taco Shop is an award winning locally owned Taco Shop in El Paso, Texas that serves SoCal style food dating from its' original roots of San Diego since 1984.

History

Established in 1984.

After working for many years at Quazar, TV and Appliance company in Chicago, the company was closed down and forced my family to move to San Diego California, where both my parents, Eva and Ismael worked for a small taco shop owner in 1984. Soon after that, my parents were given the opportunity to run the business for the owner at the time. Later becoming owners themselves. As many native Californians may know, "Taco Shops" were and still are the rave in this state. The famous style of food that is known as So-Cal food. The Rivas tortilla is a Sonoran inspired tortilla called Sobaquera. A very thin tortilla made just right so that it can withhold the meat and all of its condiments without tearing. It has a combination of Sonoran and Southern California style flavor. By 1995, my parents had opened three taco shops. Their next journey was to take this craze to Phoenix, Arizona by the summer of 1995. Where after many years my parents had the opportunity to open and sell a few more taco sh
