This respect, for past and present, makes Olamaie a successful reincarnation of fine Southern food. Olamaie, for more than a century, has been a name and a birthright to four Southern matrons. Each generation proudly passed down years of heritage to their daughters. With each young woman, the weight and heart of what it means to be Olamaie has grown. They each possess an acceptance of others, unending patience, boundless love, and soulful allegiance to food.

History

Established in 2014.

After a successful series of pop-up diners at several restaurants in both Austin and Dallas at the end of 2013, Olamaie became one of the more highly anticipated restaurant openings of 2014. Since opening towards the end of August, Olamaie has garnered attention for our use of produce from a variety of local Austin farmers and meats from local Texas ranchers.
