MKT BAR (abbreviated for Market Bar) is an industrial chic wine and beer bar offering light bites and a relaxed setting to share with friends, unwind with coworkers, experience live music or view local art on display. Complimentary parking for both Phoenicia and MKT BAR is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the One Park Place garage, accessible via McKinney Street.

History

Established in 2011.

Houston's beloved, family-owned, international market expanded in November 2011 with the opening of Phoenicia Specialty Foods Downtown and MKT BAR in the One Park Place luxury high-rise, one block from Discovery Green. The 28,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art market is a one-stop YUMMY! shop that offers signature food favorites as well as prepared meals, a sandwich station, salad bar, and a bakery with desserts and breads prepared daily by European and Mediterranean chefs. Equipped with a 150-foot fresh pita bread conveyor belt, the market also features a fresh pizza corner, quality meats and cheeses and exotic seafood flown in fresh daily.
