An empanada consists of filling inside of dough that has been folded, sealed, & cooked. At Empa Mundo our specialty is Argentinean empanadas, which we offer in more than a dozen delicious varieties. Here are some reasons why Empa Mundo empanadas are perfect for your family or events: They're versatile - They make a satisfying meal, snack or dessert at any time of the day, and have consistent flavor whether they're served hot or cold. They're a great timesaver - just as delicious when frozen, & then reheated. That means you can stock up, and have a FAST meal or snack on hand for your family anytime. Great for a picnic or any outing, no silverware or plates required. Ideal for a home or office get together - pick up several dozen. Also, mini empanadas make great hors devours. History

Established in 2010.

Empamundo opened it's doors in January 2010, bringing a unique offering to the metroplex. Bonafide "stuff yer face" Argentinean style empanadas in close to a dozen different varieties. We are proud and excited to bring this delicious food to DFW, and look forward to meeting you!

Business Owner

Raul Gordon has a lifetime of experience in the food industry.  Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he put his engineering training to use with a career of cookie and cracker manufacturing for corporations such as General Foods, Sunshine & Nabisco. Multi-lingual & very interested in other cultures, his work took him around the world.  He designed & produced snacks in China, Italy, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, etc.In his travels, he delighted to find that each country had it's own variation on his beloved "empanada."  So when the time came to finally establish his dream restaurant, it was quite an obvious choice for him & his wife Miming to make empanadas the focus.Empa Mundo, coined by Mr. Gordon, means "Empanadas from around the world."  His initial focus is, naturally, the empanadas of his boyhood - Argentinean style varieties! But we'll be seeing varieties from other countries too, as they expand their offerings. Be sure to get on the website mailing list for alerts.
