Established in 1998.

El Tiempo Cantina defines the extraordinary flavors and culture of Tex Mex cuisine. For the past 65 years, we have dedicated ourselves to perfecting every aspect of what Houstonians have come to know as authentic Tex Mex cooking. We make everything from scratch, from the tortillas to the salad dressings, the salsas to the desserts. We cook all of our food using generations' old family recipes, premium ingredients and warm smiles.

Domenic Laurenzo is the oldest grandson to Mama Ninfa Laurenzo. In 1998, Domenic and his father Roland Laurenzo opened El Tiempo Cantina. Today, the family continues to honor Mama Ninfa's traditions in the restaurants. El Tiempo Cantina serves quality Tex Mex cuisine and the best margaritas in Houston! We welcome each of our guests as part of the family, providing the same impeccable customer service Mama Ninfa instilled years ago.
