The City of Dallas owns and operates Dallas Love Field, one of the finest general-purpose airports in the world. History

Established in 1917.

Dallas Love Field is named after Lt. Moss Lee Love, who was assigned to the U.S. Army 11th Cavalry. Love Field served as a base for flight training for the United States Army Air Service until it was purchased by the City of Dallas in 1927.
