For years, Dee has helped aspiring business owners open their own restaurants in Nashville, but when she saw there was a need for authentic cuisine from her native Dominican Republic, she decided to open up Merengue Cafe. Together with Dee's family, we've created a warm, homey space Nashville can relax in for authentic Dominican, Cuban, and Puerto Rican cuisine crafted from traditional recipes and fresh ingredients. Our buffet is always a perfect option for hot, freshly prepared food that's ready to savor when you come in. Or order from our menu for a made-to-order dish that'll satisfy any appetite.

Dee has helped aspiring business owners open restaurants in Nashville for a living. She's originally from the Dominican Republic and saw a need for a greater variety of restaurants in Nashville, so she got together with her relatives and even had her aunt and uncle come from the Dominican Republic to cook up authentic, traditional Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Cuban cuisine.
