For breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dessert, we make and bake everything in house at D'Andrews Bakery & Cafe. We specialize in pastries - including croissants, macarons, and cookies - as well as coffee, tea, artisanal sandwiches, gourmet soups, and build-your-own salads. (Be sure to come early for the full selection of pastries. We sell out of many items.) Plus, we also do catering for business meetings and private parties.

History

Established in 2018.

D'Andrews Bakery & Cafe opened in July 2018, starting off with pastries and coffee, and soon adding breakfast sandwiches. D'Andrews now offers a full breakfast and lunch menu with artisanal sandwiches, gourmet soups, and build-your-own salads. In 2019, D'Andrews Bakery won the Best Entree and People's Choice Award at TASTE Nashville, and won TASTE Nashville's Best Dessert in 2023. In January 2024, D'Andrews Bakery was honored to be named a James Beard Awards semi-finalist for Outstanding Bakery.

Business Owner

Owner and Executive Chef David Andrews is a Nashville native who spent 13 years as a pastry chef and executive chef in New York City.  While working at places such as Gotham Bar & Grill and the Kimberly Hotel, David learned all about pastries, baked goods, breads, sandwiches, and coffee. In 2009, David's dessert - the 1000 Year Old Ice Cream Sandwich - was named one of the best desserts of the year by both Time Out New York and New York Magazine. After spending six years as the Executive Chef of the Kimberly Hotel, David returned home to Nashville to start his own bakery.
