Here you will find unique and delicious food, as well as thirst quenching concoctions from the bar. Located along York's Historic streets, it shares in the city's rich history as well. We have two open air bars and dining rooms. We also offer outdoor seating in our courtyard and on two covered patios. Come experience the Hot Rock. Hot Rock is cooking on "volcanic stones". No oil or fat is used. Hot Rock allows you to cook your dish just as much as you would like it cooked, eliminating any overcooked or cold food. The Volcanic stones are heated in an oven for a period of 6 to 8 hours and are then placed into specially designed stoneware plates, which are able to withstand the intense heat. Your choice of meat, fish, or seafood is then placed on the hot rock where it is seared, locking in the nutrients and juices. The food continues to cook while you eat, thus making your last bite as hot as the first. If you love great steak and seafood you must try this!

The White Rose Bar and Grill Story... Here you will find unique and delicious food, as well as thirst quenching concoctions from the bar. The White Rose is not only located along York's historic streets, it shares in the city's rich history as well. Tom Sibol, our current owner, is a third generation proprietor who purchased the bar in 1984. Preceding Tom's ownership were Tom's parents, Sonny and Mary, who purchased the bar in 1944. And beginning the legacy were his grandparents, Adam and Beatrice, who started the business as "The Beaver Inn" in 1933. The White Rose Bar & Grill has experienced York's many eras. The restaurant went from a reasonable sandwich spot during the Depression to a business run solely by Mary while Sonny "served his country", and now it shines as a proud example of the rebirth of Downtown York.

I  have been a native of York since birth. My heart is in York City and I always look for unique creative way to increase our customer base. We have undergone a lot of additions, renovations, and quality changes that is a testament to the hard work of the entire White Rose Bar and Grill Staff.I look forward to meeting all that walk through the doors of the White Rose and sincerely believe your dining experience will entice you to return in the near future.
