History

Established in 2014.

Tacos 4 Life started in Conway, AR in 2014, but this is not where the story begins. Austin and Ashton Samuelson learned in 2009 that over 18,000 children were dying worldwide each day due to starvation and hunger related causes. What surprised them is that the problem was completely preventable. Starvation is nothing more than a distribution problem. This simple fact moved them so much that they knew they could, and should, do something to help solve this problem. Thus, Tacos 4 Life was born.

My husband and I graduated from OBU In 2008 and moved to West LA. In California, we used to make pizzas built on pita because they were affordable and healthy. We also got involved with World Vision after hearing Rich Stearns, the CEO, speak at our church about using your unique gifting to provide hope to hungry children around the world. Austin and I both began a journey with hunger that changed our lives. We moved back to AR in 2010 and the Lord gave Austin an idea, "What if there was a restaurant that donated a meal to a hungry child for every meal sold?" With no restaurant experience, connections, or capital, we had one choice- to trust. In the months that followed, His provision led us to everything from our location to the non-profit we partner with Feed My Starving Children. Now, we spend our days making tacos, and we wouldn't change it for the world. We are humbled and honored to be a small part of making a huge difference thanks to our customers and our community.
