When Sean Fowler opened Mandolin, he was inspired by his Southern roots. Using ingredients from North Carolina to make seasonal menus, Sean wanted to create quality dishes for his community to enjoy. The result has made quite an impression throughout Raleigh. Whether you're wanting a refined dinner out or a casual night at our bar, you'll enjoy fresh contemporary Southern dishes handcrafted with the finest ingredients. Our ever-changing menu will have a bit of something for everyone -- from fried chicken to duck confit.

History

Established in 2011.

We specialize in fresh, locally sourced, contemporary Southern fare. We procure the finest ingredients available from numerous North Carolina farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and artisans, as well as from Mandolin's own garden. Our constantly changing, seasonal menu features a blend of contemporary culinary technique and Southern classics.

Business Owner

Raleigh native, Sean Fowler, returned home to open Mandolin, his debut restaurant. Sean's love for the fresh Southern foods that filled his childhood home led him to train in some of the country's top restaurants. Most recently, Sean was a Chef at the AAA 5 Diamond, Fearrington House, in Pittsboro, NC. Over the past ten years, Sean has fine-tuned his cooking and his concept for Mandolin.
