Mamacita's Taqueria serves up fresh, made from scratch Mexican cuisine in a casual, convenient downtown Asheville location. Locally owned and operated, we opened our doors in 2004, and we have been making friends and loyal customers ever since. With a focus on healthy and sustainable food, we serve traditional and creative Mexican street food: burritos, tacos, quesadillas, pupusas, nachos and mucho más. Our mission is to serve affordable food that tastes great and is sourced responsibly. This means using as much organic produce and non-GMO products as we can afford; it means ordering humanely raised meats and working closely with our local farmers for our daily specials that follow the growing seasons. We are Asheville's favorite burrito and Mexican restaurant, so come join us and taste the difference. Mama won't let you go hungry!

John has been in the taco business for over 11 years. He dreamed of owning his own business, and serving up fresh tacos and burritos made with responsibly sourced ingredients sounded like the perfect option, and Mamacita's was born. John enjoys being able to serve the public at Mamacita's Taqueria where our focus on healthy and sustainable food is the driving force of the business.
