JJ's Red Hots isn't just a restaurant; it's a hot dog joint that serves the best hot dogs on the planet. It is a place where service and value still mean something and we believe strongly in the quality of the products we serve. It matters that we serve Sahlen's smokehouse hot dogs and sausages, and it matters that we toast our Martin's potato rolls, and it matters that we hand-craft pretty much everything else- from our chili to our onion rings. History

Established in 2012.

The poor, misunderstood frankfurter takes such abuse. For 175 years or so, we have boiled them, broiled them, simmered them, nuked them, split them down the middle, cut 'em up in beans, wrapped 'em in blankets, slandered them and badmouthed them. We've even eaten them raw - right from the fridge (you know who you are). Well at JJ's Red Hots, we figure it's time to show the hot dog a little...respect. So do us a favor - "Don't dis' the Dog". After all, it has always been there for you. Always. JJ's Red Hots is the premier purveyor of handcrafted chargrilled hot dogs and sausages in Charlotte. Our rallying cry is simple: "Don't Dis' the Dog!" JJ's features made from scratch sides and toppings. JJ's is proud to serve quality American brands including: Weber's Mustard, Sahlen's Hot Dogs, Mt. Olive Pickles and Martin's Famous Potato Rolls. At JJ's, we believe that there is no greater joy than a kickass hot dog.

Business Owner

Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in building restaurant concepts and creating multi-media in-store customer experiences for Fortune 500 retail brands. Jonathan led the Media Architecture group for Muzak, the world's leading provider of in-store media where he worked with a wide range of retail and restaurant brands in creating compelling in-store sensory experiences.  Prior to working at Muzak, Jonathan designed, built and managed restaurant concepts, including a quick service Mexican grill concept in Philadelphia called Cool Peppers, and a fast casual American grill concept called Mike's Warehouse Grill, part of Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson, the number one retailer of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the world.
