On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. All of our sauces are made from scratch and every item is made to order. Il Giardino offers veal, seafood, chicken, pasta, vegetarian and pizza creations that are all taste sensations. Add the lively sounds from our expanded piano bar and lounge, and it's no wonder Il Giardino is such a popular local spot. Sunday: Pasta Night, all pasta are $10.00 in the pasta section of menu. Monday: Happy hour 4-7 in the bar area only. Tuesday: half off wine night until 9:00 ( both locations) Wednesday: 3 course meal for only $30.00. Menu changes weekly ( both locations) but menu items are different at the locations. Thursday: Date Night , 2 meals and bottle wine for only $50.00. Friday: Free Focaccia bread ( both locations) Happy hour Monday- Friday Hours Monday 4-7, Tuesday- Friday 5-7 Early Birds Monday- Saturday 5-6:30 ( both locations)

Established in 1984.

On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo spotted a wood-burning stove being used for baking and knew it should be the centerpiece for his new restaurant. That same oven - the first of its kind in Virginia -- has churned out fresh foccccia and delicious to-order pizza as the cornerstone of the full-service Il Giardino ever since. The moment you walk through the doors, you will embark on an Italian evening to remember. Il Giardino's chefs prepare generous portions of pasta, veal, seafood, chicken, steak and vegetarian creations to entice the senses. All menu items are made from scratch with only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, with sauces that compliment daily specials. Every generous portion bears the distinction of homemade.
