Clouds Brewing offers craft beers from around the world. A bar and restaurant focused on craft beer, Clouds Brewing is home to The Downpour; using RFID technology you can start a tab and pour your own beer. And the best part is you pay by the ounce, not by the pint! Feel free to try a small taste of each beer, or a pint of your favorite--the choice is yours. With 10 rotating taps there is always something new to try, and with no need to buy whole pints, you can try them all! So seriously, come on down, grab a glass, and "Experience the Downpour!" With a selection of 80 beers we are sure to have something for everyone! While you are sampling beer you can grab a bite to eat from our Contemporary American menu at a table inside, out on the patio or at the full service bar. On the weekends try our Brunch available Saturday and Sunday. Private dining and large group areas are available all week long. Come on down today and experience the Downpour!

History

Established in 2014.

Clouds Brewing was built in the summer of 2014 with the idea of being a technologically advanced bar that caters to the crowds of downtown Raleigh. As consumers continue to become more and more tech savvy we wanted technology to be integral to our company. The biggest piece of technology that we use is The Downpour, our self-serve beer wall. The Downpour allows patrons to sample, select, and pour their own beer, and to pour as little as 1 ounce all the way to a full pint. You get to choose how much you want to drink and therefore how much you want to pay! Our brewery has been in production since February 2016 and the Raleigh and Durham restaurants both offer 6-8 Clouds Brewing beers on draft all the time. With 40 total taps in Raleigh and 50 in Durham, we also feature draft beers from all over North Carolina and the United States.

I have always been a fan of a good meal and beer.  When the prior location closed in 2013, I saw an opportunity to bring in a new style of restaurant to a growing downtown community that I have become so close to.  I live within walking distance and embrace the exciting changes coming to the Glenwood South area of Raleigh.  My first business venture in Raleigh, a software firm, was based just across the parking lot until it grew too large to remain there.
