Polpettina is Italian for 'little meatball' and the humble little meatball is the essence for everything we make. Our cuisine is all about locally sourced, high quality ingredients prepared in a simple fashion, showing our love of food through each dish. Our menu aims to "wow" you, from our authentic Neapolitan-style pizza to our unique twists on pasta and clams. We're not your average pizzeria, and we have the 'balls to prove it.

History

Established in 2011.

After spending time in kitchens across the country learning what works and what doesn't, the two met in the summer of 2010 while working together in a kitchen in Bridgehampton, NY. With a common love of food and cooking and after many late night discussions, they fine-tuned an idea that Mike had been kicking around in the back of his mind for years--a locally sourced restaurant that would focus on creating a comfortable atmosphere that's simple, easy and lets the food shine. Eventually they settled on the perfect name for their new venture, Polpettina--meaning "Little Meatball".
