Business Owner

After graduating from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration in 1990, Chick always wanted to open a place in Ithaca.  After living and traveling many places, he settled in Ithaca in 1998, opening Maxie's with his ex-wife and former partner Dewi Rainey.  Chick's sister, Karen Kwietniak, joined to open Maxies in 1999, and has since become operating partner.  Carol Kanfoush started as a server in 1999, and after working every position at Maxie's (except host) is now our General Manager.  We love this community, our team, and Maxie's.  Come in for a meal and let us show you a great time!
