Jones Wood Foundry is a food driven Pub on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. A great place for a drink, and event, or even a royal wedding viewing party, our traditional menu and inviting décor have been carefully thought out to portray a traditional British Pub. The Fish and Chips and Bangers and Mash are a local favorite. We offer an impressive beer list and are one of two places in Manhattan to be rewarded the official Cask Marque Certification for our attention to quality real Ale. Serving now Seasonal Menu every month, along with our classics.

History

Established in 2011.

Rooted in the proud tradition of the United Kingdom's public houses as genial gathering place for convivial eating and drinking, Jones Wood Foundry is a food driven pub. The menu, created by Chef/Partner Jason Hicks, represents the best of time-honored British culinary traditions that have been reinvigorated for 21st century palates. Every aspect of this Upper East Side pub and restaurant has been carefully crafted to evoke a sense of ownership among patrons, to assure they feel it's "theirs, an extension of their homes". Jones Wood Foundry is always warm and welcoming for a quick drink at the expansive bar, casual snack and conversation at the communal table overlooking a secret courtyard garden, or for a leisurely meal in the cozy dining room. Business Owner

A veteran of kitchens on three continents (Europe, Australia, and the United States) Jason Hicks grew up  on a farm in England's scenic Cotswold countryside.  After earning his culinary degree, he continued his training at some of the Britain's more prestigious restaurants, and set his sites in the U.S, arriving in 1996. Hicks, and partner Yves Jadot operate several successful restaurants throughout NYC.
