About the Business

Specialties

We opened Harrison's in the winter of 2003 with the goal of creating a restaurant to reflect our experience growing up here. To do this, we've been offering elevated takes on American dishes with wine, regional craft beers, and cocktails in a handsome, parlor-like space in the heart of Stowe Village. Today, Harrison's is a place where tourists and locals can enjoy traditional yet creative cuisine in an atmosphere designed to delight. No matter what, when you're here, you're among friends. Over the years, we've worked hard to build a place perfect for families, date nights, or even kicking back with your favorite drinks. At the end of the day, we love what we do and have a true passion for good food. We hope you'll join us soon so we can share that passion with you.

History

Established in 2003.

Harrison's opened in the winter of 2003 after owner Kathy Kneale took a brief stint of retirement after 25 years of owning restaurants in Stowe. With her son Andrew who had left the sports marketing business to return to Stowe, Harrison's was to be the spot where locals and visitors alike could enjoy good, affordable food in a relaxing environment. They wanted a place where you could meet friends before the movie, for a romantic night out, or to sit at the bar and enjoy a nice glass of wine.

Andrew K.

Business Owner

Kathy was born and raised in Stowe and has been involved in the restaurant business her entire life. She opened The Partridge Inn in Stowe in 1974 with her late husband David and ran the town's first seafood restaurant. In 1990, needing a change of pace they opened the Depot Street Malt Shoppe. It instantly became the family spot for an egg cream or chocolate frappe. After the passing of David in 1998, Kathy decided a break was needed and sold the Malt Shoppe. Retirement didn't last long as Kathy and son Andrew teamed up to open Harrison's in the winter of 2003.
