History

Established in 2016.

Gersi and Fernando met while working at Supper Restaurant in NYC They became a family, traveling together finding new dishes they would test out and could cook together. The three created the menu with recipes they've picked up over the years always with Fernando's touch..  Gersi, from Albania traveled to the U.S. at 21 & began as busboy but quickly moved up to management,  Susannah, from Virginia moved to NYC in 2003 both her Grandmother and Parents owned restaurants. Chef Fernando Ramos is from Puebla Mexico came to NYC in 2001 and started as a prep cook moving up to head chef.  Combined with their love for food and creativity they formed Gersi. Tables are heirlooms from Susannah's family and dishes are mismatched and Italian country from their travels. Join us for what feels like a night at Italian Nonna's! Dinner 7days & Weekend Brunch

Gersi and Susannah have been in the restaurant industry for nearly twenty years.  They have a passion for simple but delightful and delicious food.  They employee family and friends. Their Chef, Fernando is a true artist and simply loves creating new and interesting seasonal dishes.  You will find a "vibe" of family and beauty and mouth watering aromoas from their open kitchen when you enter "Gersi".  Gersi is very family friendly, but also elegant and excellent for date night!  We pride ourselves on being reasonably priced and providing stellar service. Some of the tables are heirlooms from Susannah's family and dishes are mismatched and Italian country from their travels.  Susannah & Gersi have lived in Carroll Gardens for 8 years and have 2 daughters and are happy so many of their regulars are old school neighbors.  Favorite menu items are the roasted cauliflower, Pan seared Trout with pesto verde, homemade pastas & double kale salad. OPN 7 days/wk & Wkend Brunch!
