History

Established in 1976.

Dortoni Bakery was fashioned after the traditional pastry shoppes in Naples, Italy with biscotti and simple cookies. Soon after opening, the bakery began to expand its repertoire to include European tortes, American layer cakes, specialty & custom cakes, cupcakes and cookies for every occasion.

Business Owner

Lello Messina opened Dortoni Bakery in 1976, selling traditional Italian biscotti virtually identical to the those that he grew up with in his father's pastry shop in Naples. Today the bakery staying true to its roots has grown into one of Long Island's most favored creators of specialty cakes for every occasion.
