History

Established in 1970.

Antica was established when Dora and John Mascia came to Canada from the Italy region of Molise to start a new life in Niagara Falls.They opened up a small restaurant on Victoria Avenue with a menu of only 10 wood-oven pizzas and a limited selection of pastas.Sons, Tio, Pat, Anthony, and Dave began helping their parents with the operation of the restaurant and preparation of the menu items as soon as they were old enough.As time went on and Antica's popularity soared, the Mascia family would see that their modest family restaurant was expanding into a tourist hot spot and a local go-to.Today, Antica has expanded the restaurant into three large rooms.This has given them an ability to meet the high demand of patrons coming daily, as well as being able to host private functions. Antica has also shifted the focus of their menu, which includes their old classic dishes that made the restaurant famous, as well as new and unique dishes that you couldn't find anywhere else in Niagara!

When Dora and John Mascia moved from the Italian region of Molise to Niagara Falls they had intentions of opening a small, modest, family restaurant that would offer traditional Italian cuisine cooked in their family home on a daily basis.  What they didn't realize, was that their family restaurant, Antica Pizzeria, would grow to be one of Niagara Falls' most popular restaurant specializing in wood-oven pizzas, as well as home-made Italian cuisine. With the help of their sons, Tio, Pat, Anthony, and Dave, Dora and John would be kept very busy to fulfil the needs of the large numbers of patrons coming in daily. For over 40 years Antica Pizzeria & Ristorante has maintained their passion and promise to serve only the freshest and finest Italian dishes by having at least one of the members of the Mascia family in the kitchen every day. Antica strives to believe that anyone coming to the restaurant to dine and indulge is a member of the Mascia family.
