Woody's is known for their outstanding grouper sandwiches and homemade fish and chips! Located directly on the Manatee River, Woody's is accessible by boat, car, bike or foot! Robert "Woody", started young in the business world, shining shoes on a New York street corner at the ripe age of 13. Soon his little shoe shine business employed a friend, then some boys from the neighborhood. It all began then, the glimmer of a man who would one day leave a legacy for his family and the Gulf Coast of Florida. Woody moved to Florida with his wife Christina and two children Melissa and Robert. Here he opened a gas station in St. Pete Beach that thrived through his hard work and dedication to the customer. Later as the opportunity came he built Woody's Beach House Restaurant on the beach in South St. Pete. After awhile he ventured into Bradenton and along with his son Robert opened "The Lost Kangaroo Pub" in downtown Bradenton, which still thrives today.Soon after selling Woody's Beach House he opened bought a small bar on the shores of the Manatee River and created the outstanding restaurant you see today, Woody's River Roo, the Roo with a View!
