The Black Pearl is a Fine Dining Restaurant that specializes in New American and French cuisine. We offer a unique dining experience, all of our meals are prepared in house, from our homemade vanilla bean ice cream to our ciabatta bread. Every is made to order and fresh for you. At the Black Pearl we believe life is too short to eat bad food. Perfect for any occasion , also small meetings and parties of up to 40 guests. History

Established in 1994.

The Black pearl was started by Rene and Kathy Laroache in the mid 1990's. Kathy's family had always been in the restaurant industry and Kathy thought it was time for a restaurant of her own. The Black Pearl was created, the name stemmed from a long love of Black Pearls Kathy had because of her grandfathers jewelry store. The restaurant has won 2 James Beard Awards, as well as countless other awards. In July of 2014 Zachary Feinstein purchased the restaurant from the laroaches allowing them to retire from a wonderful 20 year streak in downtown Dunedin. Since the acquisition, things have only improved, the restaurant is doing quarterly wine dinners, and a once a year Chefs dinner hosted by Executive Chef Christopher Artrip. Zachary's Company ZJF Brands acquired Dunedin's beloved Living Room on Main in July of 2015! The company's focus is creating a one of a kind dining experience in a family friendly environment!
