For over four decades, our restaurant has been the go-to spot for fine dining, stunning Manatee River views, and a modern and classic menu that will leave a lasting impression. Our award-winning cuisine features house-made dishes, including succulent steak dinners, sushi, and freshly-caught fish, as well as daily happy hour specials. We take pride in our from-scratch approach to cooking and believe that cuisine is an art form that should be shared with our guests. History

Established in 1976.

Built in 1928, The Pier's building was dedicated to honor 21 young men from Manatee County who died in WW1. Over five decades, it served various public and private functions. The riverfront's second floor, now Pier 22 Ballroom, hosted social events, while the ground floor stored freight from steamers. It also housed the first South Florida Museum and the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce for 34 years, alongside the county's first radio station, established in 1946. In 1974, The Miller Family acquired the building from the city and considered demolition but realized its architectural and historical value. After two years of meticulous restoration, the Spanish-style building was preserved.

In the late summer of 2006, Greg was chosen to spearhead an exciting new restaurant concept along the Manatee River, which has since blossomed into the renowned establishment known as Pier 22. Greg undertakes the dual responsibilities of General Manager and Executive Chef within the restaurant. He considers one of his most significant achievements to be the development of his culinary team over the past sixteen years. The highly skilled and seasoned culinary squad boasts a collective experience of more than 125 years, enabling them to flawlessly execute the diverse menu on a daily basis. This team forms the bedrock upon which the award-winning restaurant stands. Chef Greg hosts wine dinners, cooking classes, and special events to showcase the culinary team's diverse talents.
