Formerly, the New England Oyster House, The Old Heidelberg Restaurant has become a historic landmark for an exception dining experience. Our menu contains a unique mix of classic German food and other specialties that are guaranteed to please the most discerning palate.An extensive full bar with snaps, wines and beers that are world renowned and appealing for blending with many of the menu items that are all authentic and home made.

The Old Heidelberg Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a family owned German Restaurant, with homemade German food and beer on draft.Stephan and his wife Yvonne own the restaurant since 2007. They are born and raised in Germany. Stephan is a very well-trained professional chef, who worked several years for Intercontinental Hotel.Since 2007 Stephan is making everything in the kitchen from scratch. Every morning he cooks fresh for the day. The whole menu is prepared and cooked by Stephan. This includes Schnitzels, Sauerbraten, Schweinebraten, Spiessbraten, Pork Shanks, Leberkaese, Beef Steak Frikadelle, Duck, Lamb, Soups, Salads, Apple Strudel... just everything you can find on the menu. His wife Yvonne is in charge of Front of the House. She bakes the cakes, Black Forest Cake, Chocolate Mousse Cake, Cheesecake, and many more. Everything you eat is made with love. They poor their heart in it, so when eating like to give you the German experience as much as possible. Enjoy!
