We are located in the heart of quaint Colonialtown South, just east of Lake Eola. Our downtown location provides a safe, sexy, comfortable, delicious vibe in which you can thrive. The dinner menu is American Neighborhood cuisine, a blend of old world classics with modern touches. Our Rejuicination Brunch selections have a somewhat Southern yet diverse flair. The Tasty Beverage Emporium offers a full bar focused on quality highball drinks and classic cocktails, over 30 worldwide wines by the glass, and 40+ beers brewed primarily in Florida and the US. At 337 n shine ave, our house has an interior of eclectic artwork and collectibles while the outdoor area features a small patio and backyard gazebo type dining to celebrate life is good in the neighborhood. Live, local music is performed Fri thru Sun, and special events throughout the year. Whether you are simply celebrating the passions of life or a special occasion, at Maxine's you are welcomed. History

Established in 2012.

337 N Shine Ave was originally built in 1947 as a grocery store. It was purchased in November of 2011 by Kirt Earhart. Mr. Earhart kept the menu & décor until January 1, 2012. It closed for 4 days of renovations, led by its new namesake herself, Maxine, his wife. It reopened as Maxine's...On Shine, on January 6th, 2012. The goal of Maxine': Be the best neighborhood restaurant it could be to it's immediate neighbors & to all in the Greater Orlando area. Over the past 10 years, Maxine's on Shine has been named a "Best Neighborhood Restaurant" "Best Brunch" "Best Outdoor Dining" "Best Pet Friendly" "Best Bloody Mary" "Best Live Music" venue by multiple publications. In 2018, Orlando Magazine inducted Maxine's into their "Dining Hall of Fame" and was named "Best Downtown Restaurant" by their readers in 2021. Kirt & Maxine Earhart continue their love affair with each other, The City Beautiful, and all that enter, whether local or visitors, at the Little Restaurant That Would!

Kirt and Maxine welcome you to the parlor of a friend's home in the middle of the quaint Colonialtown South neighborhood, a part of the heart of Downtown Orlando. "Sexy, Comfortable, and Delicious" is the vibe in which you can thrive. Eclectic decor and old world cuisine with modern twists await. In 2022, we have garnered a Michelin recommendation, "Best Wait Staff"-Orlando Weekly, "Best Outdoor Dining, Best Neighborhood, and Best Restaurant in Orlando"-Orlando Magazine Readers. There are a few others too. We believe that one of the greatest rewards in life is putting a smile on another's face. There aren't too many better places to do that than across a dining table or bar!
