History

Established in 1988.

The hip, contemporary fine dining restaurant was the first of its kind in the area. The chic waterfront restaurant was considered a risky venture at a time when the primary restaurant selections in Destin were still based on traditional Southern cooking and fried seafood. The trend toward light, fusion cuisine had not infiltrated the Destin market, and courage to give it a chance. Marina Cafe is known as the area's most awarded restaurant to date.
