Established in 1989.

Located in the center of historic old town Key West, this early 1900's building with it's Caribbean style wrap around porch is an architectural gem. From it's inception this building has served in feeding locals and tourists. Begun in 1989, Mangia Mangia was born out of a concept for creating nutritious and delicious home made pasta's and sauces based on Italian recipes with a Key Westy spin. With the highly coveted Award of Excellence(since 1984) from Wine Spectator, Mangia has the largest and most well rounded wine list in the keys offering food pairings that dance in your mouth.The restaurant is frequented by local's and tourists for the inexpensive prices and the abundant portions. The owners live on the property and value treating every employee and customer like family. With over 25 years of consistentcy, it's clear to see why Mangia Mangia is a well known and highly respected member of this Key West community.

Business Owner

Heather and Michael moved from Ocean City, Maryland to Key West in 2001 and purchased Mangia from the original owners in 2005. Finding the staff family well established with local favorites on the menu, they discovered the best way to "take over" was to let the people and the business shine by leaving things status quo. They pride themselves on the updates and improvements they have added to the business over the last several years. They added favorite seafood dishes, organic and gluten free pasta and other items, updated equipment, and often spotlight local artists. With a passion for collecting, they have created a renowned wine offering which is ranked highly by Wine Spectator. Michael works in health care and is a stickler for cleanliness, . He is ingenious in his approach to the restaurant business with a keen eye on public health. Heather, with over 20 years experience as an educator and server, enjoys spreading her passion for delicious and nutritious meals. Come by and say hi!
