History

Established in 2000.

The Fogarty Mansion was built in 1875 by Charles Curry. Dr. Joseph Norman Fogarty purchased it in 1900 as a wedding present for Corinne Curry. Fogarty was mayor of Key West for six years, including 1912 when Overseas Railroad was completed. Fogarty hosted guests like Presidents Taft and Cleveland at his estate in Key West. Today, that very same estate is the home to Fogarty's and the Flying Monkeys bar.
