About the Business

Specialties

We concentrate on traditional flavors from Portugal and Spain. Chef Roberto is descendant from Portuguese parents, and this influence is evident in the tone and essence of all our dishes. We are well-known for our LA Times-featured tapa, Gambas Mozambique, as well as our stupendous Portuguese Fisherman's Stew. The caramel custard flan is from Roberto's mom, Dona Maria's, own family recipe. Family-owned and operated since 2004..... The original on the Island!

Moved to Amelia Island from south Florida and have never looked back!

Chef Roberto has been in the restaurant trade since 1988.  Successfully opened and operated two other ventures in Pompano Beach, Florida.  Studied Culinary Arts in a comprehensive 18-month course and enjoys traveling to both Spain and Portugal for inspiration and insight.
