An exclusively gluten-free establishment, Craft Kafe will highlight traditional baked goods, as well as artisanal sandwiches and organic salads. There will also be a creamery, which will feature dairy and non-dairy ice cream and gelato. Organic ingredients from local sustainable sources will be featured.

History

Established in 2015.

Teddy Skiadiotis, owner and chef of Craft Kafe, and his family have run a coffee shop, the Park Café, on 55th Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan for over 30 years. He also owns and operates Skidder's restaurant on St. Pete Beach, which has been open for 23 years. Teddy has always dreamed of opening a restaurant where everything is homemade. He's achieved that dream in Craft Kafé, an artisan coffeehouse scheduled to open in January 2015 at 6653 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. Craft Kafe will feature a selection of specialty coffees as well as organic loose-leaf teas and craft sodas. An exclusively gluten-free establishment, Craft Kafe will highlight traditional baked goods, as well as artisanal sandwiches and organic salads. Business Owner

Teddy was born and raised in Queens, New York.  He is part of a Greek family comprised of 3 generations of chefs.He loves to say the best school he went to was the "University of Nick" (his father), who handed down his craft of the family business.  Running restaurants has been handed down from generation to generation in his family. Teddy also attended Fordham University and majored in economics.  He went to school to be a proprietary trader, but ultimately his love for food won out.Teddy and his family have run a coffee shop, the Park Café, on 55th Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan for over 30 years.  He also owns and operates Skidder's restaurant on St. Pete Beach, which has been open for 23 years.Teddy has always dreamed of opening a restaurant where everything is homemade. He's achieved that dream in Craft Kafé, an artisan coffeehouse scheduled to open very soon.
